A LOOK BACK IN TIME

The very first $1,100 Main Event at Golden Gates Casino took place two years ago. The final three players in that tournament were Thomas Fuller, Dave Hampel, and Terry Harper.

Fuller bagged Wednesday. Hampel (pictured) and Harper are both in action today, though Harper has already hit the rail. Hampel has about 20k right now.

In that 2016 event, the three got tangled up in a huge hand late in the tournament that is worth the watch if you haven't seen the TV episode.

After some back and forth action, there ended up being a 3-way all in before the flop. Fuller had the larger stack and was looking for the double knockout to win it all. Here's how it shook out:

Thomas Fuller - KcKc

Dave Hampel - Kc qc

Terry Harper - KcKc

Always a sweat.

The flop came KcKcKc. Harper took the lead with the flopped set but Fuller was a diamond away from winning it all.

Turn Kc. Now Fuller just needed a clean river to become the new champ.

River Kc. Hampel's aces came in last place and he was eliminated. Harper tripled up, and Fuller took the side pot.

Fuller would go on to win it for $116k. If you'd like to see how it played out on TV, click HERE.
