Tom Morse HPT Champion 1st Place $117,249
Tom Morse is the newest @hptpoker Champion here at @AmeristarSC
Morse came into the final table today as the chip leader. Morse had an up and down day playing well and getting a few knockouts to get to heads up play.
When Heads up began Morse's opponent Jeff Landherr had a chip advantage and controlled play.
The tables turned just a few hands before they went to a break and Morse closed the gap.
Soon after break LAndherr again took control heads up until Morse made 2 pair on the river to take a small lead. Then the classic race situation occurred and Morse small pair held against the two overs to take the title.
Morse got in this event from a $375 qualifier with less than $5000 in life time tournament cashes.
Thats what the HPT is all about.
Dont miss our next event at @AmeristarEC!
