@HPTPoker has a $1100 Main Event this weekend, and players can win seats for just $260 in qualifiers all weekend long.

Twelve players won seats in this morning's Monster Stack qualifier, and there's three more $260's all offering 5 seats guaranteed to the main event.

Play a qualifier at 7pm Thursday, 10am Friday and/or 7pm Friday - Five Main Event Seat Guaranteed in Each - to win your way in to the tournament. Start with 12,000 chips and play 30-minute levels.

The final qualifier is 10am Saturday, a $260 Turbo with 15-minute levels and no guarantee.

Seeing Familiar Faces

Greg @FossilMan Raymer - 2004 WSOP Main Event Champ and 2012 HPT Player of the Year - has joined the Day 1 field here at Boomtown New Orleans for the $1,100 Main Event. HPT has its share of players who travel the country for its events. Robert Geith - Top-10 in the 2016 Player of the Year race and runner-up at HPT Belterra a year ago - is making his fair share of tourney this year as well. He currently sits 15th in the Player of the Year race.

What a Runout

The flop is A-9-x and there's a decent amount of betting. The board runs out K-K and before you know it, two players have all their 30,000 stacks in the middle ... in Level 1.

The player with K-T sure thought the runout was great for him, until he realized his challenger had 9-9 for a flopped set that ran out to a (river)boat.

Apparently, BoomtownNOLA = Action for the very first hand, so come on down

Time for HPTPoker @BoomtownNOLA Main Event

Day 1A Cards are in the air for the HPT $1100 Main Event at Boomtown Casino in Harvey, LA, just outside New Orleans. There are three Day 1's, today, Friday and Saturday with 2pm starts. Players begin with 30,000 chips and play 40-minute levels throughout the entire tournament.

Play is scheduled for 15 40-minute breaks today, with a 60-minute dinner break set for the end of Level 9 at around 8:30pm with registration closing when cards go back in the air at the start of Level 10 at about 9:30pm.

Day 1 could end earlier if the field is down to 15 percent of the starting field before Level 15 ends.
