Getting quads is a pretty big deal in a poker tournament, amirite?

Welcome to Table 48 at the @HPTpoker @Hollywood STL, Day 1A, Level 1, 2o minutes in to the first of two starting flights in the $300,000 Guaranteed Main Event.

To start with, there's Craig Casino - No. 1 on the All-Time HPT Money Winnings leaderboard - who hits quad eights. Next up, an orbit later is Alan Perry (pictured) and he not only gets quads, he also gets quad eights.

So, if you want quads, get moved to Table 48.

Hoff Freerolling His Main Event

Alex @OmaHoff311 Hoff won a $375 @HPTpoker @Hollywood STL satellite entry via a Twitter contest to guess the amount of chips the top stack would have to start Day 2 of the series opening event.

Hoff played a $375 satellite earlier in the week, won his $1,650 main event seat and already has a 30,000 stack in play here for Day 1A in St. Louis.

Cards in the Air for Day 1A @HPTpoker @Hollywood STL

They're off and running for the $1650 HPT Main Event at Hollywood St. Louis, the board showing 66 players seated with a 30,000 starting stack in play.

The Main Event offers 30,000 starting stacks and 40-minute Day 1 Levels for the two starting flights, today';s and the noon-start for Saturday. Registration and the unlimited-entry period is available until the start of Level 10 for each starting flight - ~9:30pm Friday and ~ 7:30pm Saturday - in this $300,000 Guaranteed tournament.

Day 1 play is scheduled for 15 levels, wrapping up just shy of 12 hours after the event begins. That's a 1:45am wrap-up tonight and an 11:45pm wrap tomorrow.

Day 2 launches Sunday at 11am, 60-minute levels, playing down to the 9-handed final table. That final table action is scheduled to begin Monday at Noon, a LiveStream underway shortly after the action begins.

MAIN EVENT IN ST. LOUIS BEGINS FRIDAY

Anticipation and excitement is high as cards go in the air tomorrow at 2pm for Day 1A of the @HPTpoker $1650 Main Event @HollywoodSTL.

The turnout has been big for each preliminary event, from the series opener to the tag-team, seniors and more. A Missouri state record for tournament field size was established with the opening weekend 1,283-entry $350.

Here's the results from each of the first six preliminary events.

The Main Event offers 30,000 starting stacks and 40-minute Day 1 Levels. Registration and the unlimited-entry period is available until the start of Level 10 for each starting flight - cards in the air at 2pm Friday and Noon Saturday in this $300,000 Guaranteed tournament.
