PRIZE POOL TOPS $750,000

We're midway through Level 6 and the overall @HPTpoker East Chicago Main Event field has built a prize pool that is now in excess of $750,000 - with registration still open for 3 1/2 more hours.

There's now 257 entries today, with the recent re-entry from Aaron Massey, moving the overall field size to 529.

FLUSH OVER FLUSH BUSTS SABBIA

An all-spades    flush gets the interest of Mike Sabbia, Bill Dowell and a third challenger here in Day 1C of the @HPTPoker $1,650 East Chicago Main Event.

There's a bet from Sabbia on the  turn, Dowell moves all-in, the third challenger steps aside, and after a bit of a delay, Sabbia talks himself in to calling off his stack.

500 ENTRIES AND CLIMBING

The arrival of former @HPTPoker champ Matt Shepsky pushes today's Day 1C entry number to 228 and the overall East Chicago $1,650 Main Event field to 500 entries.

Registration and the unlimited-entry period is open until Level 10 begins at about 7:30pm, so the number is going to climb considerably in the next 4 1/2 hours.

The prize pool has already surpassed the $700,000 mark.

90 PLAYERS WON HPT EAST CHICAGO SEATS IN QUALIFIERS

Today's $375 Last Chance Qualifier just added nine more players in to Day 1C of the @HPTpoker East Chicago $1,650 Main Event. A total of 90 seats were won in to the tournament via qualifiers this weekend.
