Can You Forfeit Your Stack?

Here's a question via the Twitteratti that applied to players from Day's 1A through 1C ...

@HoldemRadio @HoldemRadioDan If you qualified day 1A for Sunday with a low chip chip count can you enter 1D without risk?

We've been told by tournament staff - and backed up by Mike Puccio who came today with plans to fire again after bagging last night - that players have to forfeit their stacks BEFORE entering another flight and take a chance on bagging again. There is no Best Stack Forward process here, only stack-forfeiting.
