1st Place - Casey Carroll - $174,469

Casey Carroll came into the HPT final table at Ameristar East Chicago and took control. Carroll had a few good hands early and maneuvered his way to the top after winning a big hand off then-chipleader Andy Hwang. Once shorted handed play began, Carroll dominated the remaining field.

When Carroll went heads up with John Seyferth he had a 12-1 chip lead and picked his spots wisely to make big shoves and control the tempo of play.

Carroll's mom was in the audience, says she will go ahead and take a car!!

On the tournament's final hand, Seyfurth moved all in with preflop 9-8 and Carroll made the call with 2-2. The board ran out 9♥ 3♥ 2♥ 7♦ J♠ and Carroll was the Ameristar East Chicago Main Event Champ.
