Klein Leads 21 from 1B to Day 2

Richard Klein raced to a huge chiplead shortly after dinner break, increasing from 100,000 to 300,000 in less than 3 levels. Barry Faecher went on an equally upward climb for a few levels, taking over the chiplead at one time from Klein.

Klein (431,000) and Faecher (398,000) lead the field from today's Day 1B in to Sunday's Day 2

Some familiar HPT Main Event faces showed up today, here early from the WSOP when their Main Event runs didn't go as long as they had hoped.

David Gutfreund and Matt Bond were here for Day 1B, and both rode a wild roller-coaster of ups and downs all day long. Gutfreund had numerous 6-figure sswings in his stack before bagging , while Bond lost multiple all-ins to the same player, ahead each time, and on one of the final hands of the night he survived due to a suck-and-resuck on the turn and river.

2015 Ameristar KC Champ Frank Patti also joined the field, exiting shortly after dinner break, saying he'll be back Friday for Day 1C.

Day 1C's cards go in the air at Noon ... see y'all then.

Here are the official chipcounts for the players advancing from Day 1B to Day 2.
