@HPTPoker @AmeristarSC Day 1B came to a close after a roller-caoster last three levels that saw about a dozen players get to 200,000 or more chips, and eight of them bag a 200k-plus stack.
Mary K Sturges (above) was one of the first palyers to crack the 200k barrier, closing the night with 220,000, good for 7th of the 28 who bagged chips. There weas 137 total entries for Day 1B.
The story of teh final few levels, though, was Steve Sheldon, who came back from dinner break with just 12BB.
"I went from 12,000 to 40,000 pretty fast, then hovered at 40 for a long time, then kind'a chipped up here and there," said Sheldon. "I didn't know how many I actually had until I bagged them tonight."
Sheldon has 333,500, some 54,000 clear of second-stack Tod Schmitz after two flights have wrapped up.
Among the field bagging a Day 2 stack today is Jake Bazeley, recent WSOP Circuit ring winner Jason Ramos, Nick Pupillo, Robert Geith, Robert Castoire.
Those who came up short of a bag included Grant HInkle, Jamey Kramer, Roger Campbell, John Lyons, Chris Underwood, Mike Rieck, Ryan Tepen (chipleader on Day 1C dinner break), Greg Radosh, Jian Zhang, Jason Darland, Don Havener, Vijay Natarajan, CUllen Oldhamm TIm Palmer and Jeff Brin.
