Kessler Calls His KO

The UTG player opens for 6,000. Action folds around to Allen Kessler who ships his last 29,500 and he draws a call.

Kessler should be ahead with his AA > 77, but he calls me over before the dealer spreads the flop and says, "It doesn't look good for me."

Karma ... the flop is 8-7-9. There's a Jack on the turn, adding 3 outs for a chop to a straight, but the river is a 4 and yep, Allen was right, Aces did NOT look good for him in that position.

A player just coming back to the table questions why Kessler made such a play and he chimes back, "What do you mean, I shipped it preflop."
