It's Gone All Dark for Ray
30-Dark-Thursday Ray Attiyah made four runs at today's $1100 HPT Main Event Day 1A. He was in twice in the first level, thanks to a all-in-dark play that didn't work too well.
His all-in habits just came back to bite him yet again, this time drawing to a gutterball straight with 6-3 on a Q-7-8 board and he's called by Nick Blackburn (above), who is holding JJ.
The turn 9 gives Attiyah a draw to a 6 FTW, but he can't catch the Ten for that gives Blackburn a Queen0high straight.
River ... is the Ten, and the sound of a rooster (I think) erupts from Blackburn when he sees he's won the hand. Attiyah does not hit his river 3-outer and must come back tomorrow to take a shot at earning a Day 2 bag.
Blackburn, meanwhile, has been on a 3-level heater, now up to 185,000.
Level - 12
Blinds - 800/1600
Antes - 200
Players Left - 30
