There's a 2.5x raise from one player, Ray '30-Dark Thursday' Attiyah makes it 2,000, a third player calls, a fourth calls, so does the original raiser and suddenly the pot is 30BB preflop.
The Q-4-2 -two-diamonds flop gets checked around to Attiyah, who moves in for his last 6,000. He asked the dealer to 'pick me,' before the flop and it may well have happened.
30-Dark-Thursday Ray gets one caller, only to see a third player repop all in for 15,000 more. This scares off everyone else and it's time to turn the cards over.
Attiyah turns over Q-Q for top set, but he's up against AKdd - the nut flush draw.
The turn and river are spades, Attiyah doubles, and the first player who called Attiyah's all-in says he should have stayed in the hand with TT and pick up a sidepot.
So, what is 30-Dark-Thursday?
- The starting stack is 30,000 = 30
- Ray moved all in dark earlier in the day = Dark
- Today is Thursday = Thursday
As for Attiyah's stack? Well, he was knocked out before I could finish writing up the hand, so he's at 30,000 via his third entry of the day.
There's been a LevelUp, so action is now at
Level - 6
Blinds - 200/400
Antes - 50
Entries - 72
