That Really Just Happened
There's quite a bit of chatter coming from table 5 so I head over to see what's going on.
Kendall Richards, one of two players to be all-in-dark in Level 1 on Thursday, is all in preflop and has two callers in Duy Tran and Robert Quigley.
There was a huge amount of preflop betting, including Tran limping with AA, a few other limpers, a raise, a reraise from Tran, a few callers, Richards finally shoving for around 8,000, THEN Tran And Quigley calling the all-in.
The flop comes out and Richards stands up, turns to tablemate Roger Campbell and bids his goodbye. "It's been nice talking to you."
Tran moves all-in and Quigley snap-calls.
Tran acts as though he knows he's way ahead as he shows , and he's somewhat right when Quigley shows . Now Tran is surprised he'd get a call from someone on a flush draw when Tran himself drypot shoved.
The turn is to pair the board, then the fireworks go off on the river.
Richards show , catches a boat and looks completely surprised he hit a 2-outer to triple up to 29,000
Quigley hits his flush for the sidepot to move to 54,000
Tran is incredulous that he lost the hand and fell down to 18,000
Oh yeah, to top it all off, Nick Blackburn walks past and lets out his Rooster call like he does whenever he hits an all-in.
