Final Table at Noon, Casey Carroll with Chance for a Repeat

The Main Event got a total of 526 entries, and the final nine will battle it out today at noon. You can watch the action on the livestream on a 20-minute delay around 12:30 p.m. on Twitch.tv/HPTpoker and also follow along here for updates provided on the same delay. The minimum payout today will be $15,077 for 9th place and the winner will take home $173,385 and a $3,600 championship package!

Casey Carroll won the HPT Main Event at this very venue in East Chicago exactly one year ago. And he has a chance to win it again. He is the only player with an HPT title to his credit, but he will have to get through some pretty tough competition to take it down. He starts this final table fourth in chips.

Chris Moon has finished 10th and 2nd in HPTs, John Sun is an MSPT champion, Canadian Paul Sokoloff has several deep WSOP runs, and Minnesota pro Rob Wazwaz has several cashes and wins in Minnesota. All would love to add an HPT title.

Matt Culp begins the day at the top of the counts, with Rob Wazwaz second in chips. These are the only two players in the 3,000,000 chip-range. Sun and Carroll start the day third and fourth in chips, respectively, with 2,540,000 and 2,515,000. The next biggest stack, which belongs to Brian Berend, is 1,880,000.

Seat 1: Casey Carroll - 2,515,000
