Registration has closed for @HPTPoker @Gates_Poker Day 1C and the board shows 174 total entires for this flight. This brings the 3-flight total to 375 - an increase of 68 over last year for this same event.
There is still one starting flight to come, starting at noon on Saturday. The 2016 HPT $1100 Main Event at Black Hawk say 217 entries for the final flight. Match that number and this comes in just shy of 600 total entries.
I'd say odds are pretty good the number exceeds 600 by 7:30 tomorrow night when overall registration comes to a close.
