Herstein Leads Player of Year Race
When last we saw Gary Herstein, he was checking to see how well the HPT Main Event Champion bracelet looked on his wrist, as he took down the title at Ameristar East Chicago earlier this month for $170,404.
He drew quite the starting table today at Ameristar St. Charles, with former HPT St. Charles Champ Greg Radosh on his right, Garrett Riley and Vada Harkelroad across the table from him, and staring back from the 1 seat in Bryan Skreens who was 4th when Herstein won in East Chicago. Skreens and Herstein had chopped an $1100 just two weeks earlier.
Herstein - with his East Chicago win - moves to the top of the Season-long HPT Player of the Year leaderboard (above). Ed Sebesta, close behind in 2nd, is in today's field and current 5th place Michael Hahn bagged last night.
