Paten's Amazing Run

Matt Paten made a serious run at being the first @HPTPoker player since Jeremy Dresch in 2009 to win consecutive Main Events.

Down to just 4BB late in his Day 1 flight, Paten worked back to bag a 300k stack, and ran that all the way to a 12th place finish here at Ameristar Kansas City.

Paten cashes for $7,226 and moves - for teh moment - in to 6th place in the HPT Player of the Year race. Players are two eliminations away from bagging up for Monday's livestreamed final table.
