Well, He Was Open-Ended

It wasn't the preflop action that drew my attention, nor the flop, nor the open to 6k by Neil Patel or the 3-bet to 13,000 from Cliff Brewster (above).

It was the 4-bet all-in from David 'Big Bob' Elyachar for 66,200 AND the hesitation from Brewster on whether to call.

The board was Kc Kc Kc, Patel folded to the 4-bet and Brewster was taking a long time wondering whether he could make the call for almost 80 percent of his stack.

"Call," came out of Brewster's mouth and he flipped up Ten-three, and open-ended draw.

Big Bob had moved all-in with pocket Sevens, an overpair.

The 8 turn didn't change a thing, but there was a small moment of exultation from Brewster when the dealer went Barry Greenstein (Ace on the River).

Big Bob - looking incredulous - walked over to get his phone charger out of the wall and head off to tell a buddy at an adjacent table what just happened.

Cliff Brewster - 167,000

Level - 10
Blinds - 500/1k
Antes - 100
Remaining - 23/53
