Shove, Call, Ahead, Ouch
There's a healthy pot already built preflop between Robert Cossell and Keenan Holmes, then Holmes leads out and Cossell (above) shoves the Q-T-9 flop.
Holmes has 27,700 and is going to at risk for his entire stack if he calls. Cossell ran a huge bluff late in Level 5, shoving the all-in-bluff after his challenger folded top pair. Holmes says aloud he notices a difference in Cossell's body language and fears he's pretty strong here.
Holmes does call off his stack, turning over pocket Nines for bottom set.
He was right, Cossell has King_Jack for the straight.
There's a 2 on the turn and Hplmes starts to push away from the table and stand up.
Everyone knows what that motion means when all in and there's cards to come, right?
Yep, river is another 2, that's a boat for Holmes and Cossell is reduced to fewer than 5,000 chips.
