Kramer Almost Implodes

Jamey Kramer (left) raised from the shotgun to 6,000.  Don Dukate (right) defended his small blind and Barry Schmiess defended his big.  All three checked the KQJ rainbow flop, but when a second heart appeared on the turn in the form of a 6, Dukate led for 12,000.  Schmiess called.  He and Dukate both seemed a little surprised to see Kramer then raise to 29,000.  Dukate thought about for a bit and made the call.  Schmiess thought about it for a shorter bit and folded.

The river paired the board with the 6s and Dukate checked to Kramer.  Jamey counted out about 10 gray 5K chips, but couldn't bring himself to put anything in, saying have gave up.  The reason he gave up, as it turned out was he missed his flush (8h7h).

Thankfully he didn't hit it as Dukate had the Ah9h.  Don was happy to win the pot and push his chip stack over a-quarter-million, but he almost had so much more.  Jamey was happy to be alive with his 65K.  But what happens if he had bluffed the river?
