@MoneyFlickaMike Englert learned his way around the @Gates_Poker felt last July when he finished 3rd in the @HPTPoker $1100 Main Event.
His comfort level here showed on Wednesday as he bagged the top stack in Day 1A of the $1650 Main Event playing this weekend.
Englert' was already chipleader when he went boat-over-boat to eliminate Jeffrey Couch and substantially push his advantage over the rest of the field, finishing at 339,000.
Charisse Case was the only woman to make it through Day 1A, moving on to Sunday's 11am start for Day 2 with one of her best-ever Day 1 runs in a multi-day event. Case bagged 206,500 for 3/10.
Greg Geller - the first player to a 6-figure-stack - had a typical-for-Geller roller coaster day with his chips. Geller lost a large pot to Case one hand before the end of the night, bagging 79,500.
Among the players who came out for Day 1A and did not find a Day2Bag was Ben Keeline, Aaron Thomas, Jake Bazeley, Mike Comisso, Sterling Savill, Cody Brinn.
Here are the 10 players - from a starting field of 48 - advancing to Day 2.
