From a starting field of 122, there's 29 players moving from Day 1B of the @HPTPoker @Gates_Poker Main Event on to Sunday's 11am start for Day 2.
A number of players took a chunk of time atop the leaderboard as the day went along, but it was Nick Pupillo (above) who closed the day out as chipleader.
Down to less than a single big blind in Level 11, Pupillo put on a chip-capturing lesson for the next three levels, moving from 800 chips to more than 350,000. He ended the flight at 354,500.
Former HPT Black Hawk $100 ME champ Thomas Fuller put on his own chip-collecting display, moving up 6x in 3 levels, finishing the night at 232,500.
Ryan Dodson made a big run late, lost most of those chips, then doubled AT > AQ on the final hand of the night to bag 123,500. Wes Cutshall, CEO of HPT sponsor Raiser Clothing, ran solid late in the day to bag a 149,000 stack.
Danny Gonzales put himself in position to try and pick up his 13th HPT Black Hawk cash by bagging 57,000.
Among the players who started Day 1B but did not find a #Day2Bag is Jake Bazeley, Mike Comisso, Cord Garcia, Josh Turner, Corey Zedo, Shane Faulk, Matt McMurray, Devin Jackson, Rory Hayes, and Charles Harder .
Here are the final Day 1B chipcounts.
