Just a few miles down the road from @AmeristarSC is St. Peters, MO, hometown of Tom Morse, who practically owns @HPTPoker $1650 Main Events here.
Morse played a $375 qualifier here last April, won a Main Event seat, then ran the table to claim the $117,249 first prize. Before that win, Morse had less than $5,000 in career poker tournament earnings.
HPT returned to St. Charles last September and so did Morse, rolling through the field once again, making his second final table in a row here, finishing 4th for another $46,796 cash.
