The BB Ante has yet to kick in for Day 1A @HPTPoker @AmeristarEC, but so far there's one interesting development.
Having no 25 chips in play to start has apparently thrown off the preflop bet-sizing of many a player. I'm seeing more 4x and higher preflop raises and larger-than-normal pots overall in the first two levels.
5k chips are getting tossed in on a far more frequent basis in Level 2 and Level 3 than in most any other HPT Main Event I've been at the last 3 years. This is different than any other BB Ante tourney I've worked this year, as the bet-sizing before the antes kicked in stayed in the 2x-3x range and postflop betting was more controlled as well in those other events.
Let's see how the bet-sizing goes once the BB Ante kicks in.
