The final flight of the $1,100 Main Event at Golden Gates Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado was a big one. The poker room was at capacity most of the day. The 5-table overflow room upstairs was put into play for several hours to accommodate the large field.

By the time registration had closed, the fourth flight had added 309 entries to the tournament for a total of 763 entries on the week. That generated a prize pool of $740,110 with Monday's winner set to take home $159,131. The top 81 finishers are guaranteed a mincash of $1,998.

All 143 players that made it through their respective flights will return tomorrow at noon for Day 2 action and play down to the 9-player final table. Those nine come back Monday to play down to a champion under the lights at the nationally televised final table, which will be streamed on a delay with hole cards at

The overall chip leader, Jay McVeigh, came from Flight D. McVeigh amassed 466,000 chips. His closest competitor, Derrick Montano, advanced from Flight B with 422,000.

Other notables to advance from Flight D include Ben Keeline, Allen Kessler, Ben Mintz, Joseph Christman and Mike Harris.
