Heartland Poker Tour is in the midst of a busy run of events. Last weekend, the $1,100 Main Event in Colorado overlapped with the $350 opening event here in Kansas City.
This weekend, the $1,650 Main Event in Kansas City is overlapping with the opening $250 event in Missisissippi.
That $250 NLH Monster Stack at Ameristar Vicksburg (pictured) kicks off today. That tournament has a $50k guarantee. Action continues all week in Mississippi and the $1,100 Main Event there begins one week from today.
After that, HPT heads to St. Louis for a series August 9-20 and then a few hours north to Chicago for another event August 23-September 3.
The players aren't the only ones on the grind. The HPT staff will travel from one event to the next before getting a short break in early September.
