Kane Lai (pictured) won a $1,650 HPT Main Event in St. Charles back in 2015 for $150k. He's seen a lot of additional success since then, but we haven't seen him at many HPT events.
Lai is certainly trending in the right direction today. After starting the day with 74,000 he's built his way up to just over 700k. He's not the chip leader, but he's near it.
