Past champion Frank Patti (pictured) dominated Day 1A on Friday bagging more chips than any of his competitors. He came into today fifth overall in the standings. The Gladstone, Missouri man made a great run at a second title but fell just short going out in 13th place.
Jason Darland nearly survived an all in with his ace-king against Jivkov's pocket kings. An ace hit the flop to put him ahead but the king on the turn ended Darland's run. He finished in 14th.
Last year's Main Event winner Shawn McCracken had an up and down day yesterday before bagging a below average stack. He made the best of it today. At one point he ran it up to over 400k but in the end he was sent to the exit in 15th place.
