POKER IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART

We walked up and caught the tail end of a nasty one at Table 34.

Alex Marler had raised a bet of 7k to 21k on a J-10-X flop. His opponent came over the top for the rest of his chips, which added up to roughly 100k.

Marler made the call with KcKc. He was in very very bad shape when his opponent turned over pocket jacks for top set.

It's worth noting that there were no spades on the flop so Marler had no backdoor spade draw.

The turn was a 9. And the river? You guessed it. A queen.

Marler hit the runner-runner straight to send his opponent to the rail and he's now up to about 275k.
