Registration has closed on the first of three starting flights in the @HPTpoker $1650 Main Event @AmeristarEC and the board shows 131 total entries. This is an increase of 14 entries from Day 1A of the 2017 HPT East Chicago labor Day Weekend main event. The 2017 main event drew a total of 517 entries and paid $170k to winner Gary Herstein.
Play continues for a full 15 40-minute levels - 1:45am(ish) - or to the HardStop of 178 players (13 percent of the 131 starting field - whatever comes first. This result establishes the stopping point for each of the next two starting flights.
Friday's Day 1B has a 2pm start, while Saturday's starting flight - expected to be (by far) the largest of the three - is set for a Noon start.
Day 2 (Sunday) and the Final Table (Monday) both have Noon starts.
