I was asked last week what part of the country has the best/strongest main event fields. I said the Chicago-area is right at the top ... and those folks are out in full-force today, pushing the @HPTpoker Main Event to 600 total entries with more than 3 hours left in registration.
Players in Day 1C of the 41650 HPT East Chicago main event are heading out on their second 15-minute break of the day, and the play clock shows 286 entries for this flight.
Day 1A on Thursday had 131 entries, while yesterday's Day 1B drew another 185 for 316 total entries.
That's 602 - or 23 away from a $900,000 prize pool (remember when I said that was the Stretch Goal .... streeeeetch)
And since people are already asking ... a $1,000,000 prize pool needs 695 entries ... pretty sure we're gonna run out of time to get there, but that's the number for those interested...
When play resumes, action moves to
Level - 7
BB Ante - 600
Blinds - 300/600
Entries Today - 286
Total Entries So Far - 602
