The board has plenty of draws, plenty of possibilities, and now there's plenty of chips being fired in to the pot in this @HPTPoker Day 1A @Gates_poker Day 1A action.
Michael Hinde makes it 3,000 to go on the flop, Wendy Freedman makes it 8,000 and a third player moves all in for 18,700 on the
board.Hinde pauses, then makes it 38,600 with a 4-bet-shove, and now it is Freedman's time to pause. She eventually counts out calling chips - still having about 90k behind - but she sure appears as though she's trying to talk herself into folding.
Nope, out go the chips, arm extended, and into the pot they go.
Freedman -
for an open-ended straight with no spades.Hinde -
for flopped TopAndBottomChallenger -
for an overpair.Turn is
, a straight for Freedman - 40th on the All-time Money winning list for female players - who can eliminate two players but has to dodge the board pairing (Hinde) and every remaining non-board-pairing spade (challenger).River .......
, Freedman takes the chiplead at 180,000 and Hinde - whose 3rd entry today has just departed - has some choice words to say about the call from Freedman, "only having a straight draw with a flush draw out there," as he makes his Day 1A exit from Gates Poker Room.Level - 11
BB Ante - 1200
Blinds - 600/1200
