Jeff Stern (pictured) started the day in the middle of the pack with 190,000. He's managed to stay alive without getting involved in many big pots. His patience just paid off.
Stern opened to 33k from under the gun. Hal Kilgore, who began Day 2 second in chips, raised to 82,000. Action folded back around to Stern who went all in for 129k more. Kilgore made the call and the two players flipped over their cards.
