All-in on the 4th hand of the day, Casey @KCCarroll10 lost all but 2,000 of his 30k starting stack. His one available re-entry was soon put to use, and Carroll started rolling over his challengers in Day 1A of the @HPTpoker Season XIV Championship. Carroll bagged 266,300, the top stack among the 25 players advancing to Monday's 11am start for Day 2.
A 60k pot on the last hand of the night moved Shawn Roberts to the 2nd stack. Roberts (246,700) peeled a handful of 5k chips off of Mark Morris to close out the night.
Morris bagged a 222,300 stack, joining the likes of Marvin Rettermaier (89,300), Jake Baumgartner (100,900), Aaron Massey (66,700), Aaron Johnson (121,300) and Alez Ziskin (46,000) in moving on to Day 2.
Among those who came out for the first starting flight and did not find a #Day2Bag was Ari Engel, Craig Casino, Nick Pupillo, Ossama Estafanous, Roger Campbell, Mike Shanahan, Ben Castle, Andy Rogowski, Jim Kasputis, Ed Ochana, Matt Shepsky, OJ Miller, Mike Younan, Jerry Siemienas and Zachary Schneider.
