GRISE TRIES AND MISSES
Ben Grise - 11th twice this year in @HPTpoker @AmeristarEC Main Events - started Day 2 of the $2,500 Season Championship 132/133 ... a 23,000 stack and only one player with a smaller stack.
This, folks, is why you don't punt early or decide to not come back when you're a short stack.
Grise doubled, then doubled again in early Day 2 play.
Now over at Table 6, Grise moves all in on the river for his last 74,500 on a board already showing a 3-4-2-5-A wheel and 80,000 in the pot before he moves all in.
Darrell Haywood has 250,000 behind and rarely sees a bet he wants to fold to. He doesn't want to this time either, but he finds a fold. His other challenger grimaces, realizes he's calling off his stack .. and finds a call anyway, turning over Pocket_Kings.
"Chop .... What a call, what a terrible river," says Grise as he turns over 4-5 for a turned two pair.
Level - 14
BB Ante - 2500
Blinds - 1500/2500
Remaining - 90/434
