Both Aaron Johnson (above) and Jim Kasputis (below) can overtake Ossama Estafanous and become the @HPTpoker Season XIV Player of the Year, based on their finish at this final table.
Estafanous began the Season Championship in the POY lead with 197 points, but he did not cash and remains at 197. Johnson began this tournament in 3rd place with 156.4 points, while Kasputis was tied for 34th with 84 points.
Johnson overtakes Estafanous once the field is down to 8 players, giving him 201.4 points - but he does not lock up Player of the Year at that point if Kasputis is still in the field. Once there's 8 players left and both Johnson and Kasputis is in, Kasputis needs to win the tournament to be Player of the Year.
Well, he is Player of the Year with a win AND Johnson can finish no higher than 4th. Johnson locks up the Player of the Year by making the final 3 players if Kasputis is also among the final three.
