Justin Lee Bags Massive Stack for Day 1C Chip Lead

The third and final flight of the HPT East Chicago Main Event drew 250 entrants to combine for 554 total across three Day 1 flights. After wrapping up 15 levels of action on Saturday just 43 players remain with Justin Lee grabbing the overall chip lead with 585,000.

Bill Brudenell and Jon Cohen join Lee at the top of the overall leaderboard with stacks in excess of 400,000. Also joining the Day 2 field are Brandon Sowers, David Gutfreund, Nicholas Davidson and Kenny Nguyen.

A combined 93 players return for Day 2 on Sunday - with an 11 am start time - to play for the 63 positions that earn a payout. The $797,760 prize pool gives the top 12 players five-figure payouts with the top two finalists earning $178,709 and $110,402 respectively.

The players that cash also have the first chance for Season XV Player of the Year points.
