Sometimes Speech Play Backfires

We found a hand between Leonardo Loconte and Alex Horodysky on the flop of As Qc Ts. Loconte was talking up a storm to Horodysky - saying, "The best thing for you to do right now is to fold. You still have a lot of chips, lay it down."

He continued along those lines as the dealer attempted to silence him. He didn't stop chatting and kept telling Horodysky to fold and eventually the dealer called the floor.

Loconte didn't change his tactics and finally, Horodysky called.

Loconte: Kc Js
Horodysky: Ad Td

The turn put the Ac on the board, Horodysky improved to a full house and Loconte couldn't believe his opponent called. "I could have a set there - aces queens, you don't know," he said.

The floor tried to tell him he couldn't use speech to influence play but Loconte wasn't ready to listen to any opinions other than his.
