Beware the Hoeft Train
Dan Hoeft was well on his way to the rail back in level 18, looking to be the 34th-place finisher in the @HPTpoker @StLouisPokerHC Main Event when he ran his Kings smack in to the Aces of Kou Vang.
Hoeft was already moving up from the table when he caught his two-outer on the river to survive, moving to 600,000. That was a big climb from the 119,000 he began the day with.
Well, that was 900,000 chips - and multiple knockouts - ago.
Hoeft just took down Jeff Landherr when his Jack-Eight bested the Aces of Landherr when the dealer put an 8 on the flop and another on the turn.
Landherr finishes in 21st place, a $5,166 cash. John Hughes was eliminated a few hands earlier, also cashing for $5,166.
Level - 20
Ante - 12000
