The Hoeft Train Just Ran Off the Tracks

Tim Burden opens, Dan Hoeft comes behind with a big 3-bet, action folds back to Burden and he flats.

The flop is 9-2-6 and Burden smacks down an entire barrel of 25,000 chips - a bet of 500,000 - and Hoeft calls.

Turn is a 4 and Burden - with an angry tone to his voice - announces he's all in, smacks some chips down on the felt and scatters the rest toward the dealer. A polite reprimand from DomThe TD as the dealer works to gather the chips to give Hoeft a count.

Hoeft makes the call before the count is finished and Burden spikes his set of Sixes on the table. Hoeft turns over Queens,

River is an 8, the dealer finishes counting down Burden's stack and announces it is 1,099,000.

Hoeft is counted down and he has 1,075,000 - the Hoeft Train is stopped in its tracks, eliminated in 18th place for a $6,266 cash.

Burden just won a pot - with 17 players remaining - for more than 25 percent of all the chips in the tournament as he moves to 3.6 million of the 13.3 million in play.
