PICKLEBALL, VOLUNTEER DAYS AND MORE WITH HPT

Once upon a time, about a year ago, @StanJablonski was at a @HPTpoker Main Event and he talked the Faces of the HPT - @HPTJeremy and @HPTKorey - in to joining him for a fun session of pickleball at a nearby public court.

One day, one game, and a new off-the-felt HPT activity was born.

Jeremy Smith, HPT's Tournament Director, was soon introducing both local and traveling dealers to the fun game - a hybrid of tennis and badminton played on a smaller-version tennis court, using paddles and a Wiffle-ball-like projectile.

HPT outings in between Main Event flights at many locations now include a friendly morning game, followed by an afternoon and evening on the felt playing poker. Jablonski hosted a group this morning that included HPT staff and locals that had close to two dozen turn out.

Many of the locations also include a #HPTCares volunteer day organized by Korey Stewart, HPT's Marketing Manager. Staff and players join in to help out for a few hours one day with a local organization.

These outings have included working at a local food bank to visiting a Veterans Home to helping clean Civil War Era gravestones in Vicksburg, MS. The top photo above is HPT's All-Time Money Leader, Craig Casino, volunteering his time at the Vicksburg National Cemetery inside Vicksburg National Military Park.

There's always more than just poker when HPT comes to a city. Join in the activities the next time HPT comes to your area.
