LEGEND OF THE FOOD COMA RETURNS
There's this thing that happens to poker players within the first 40 minutes after dinner break closes in Day 1 Main Event flights. The players come back from break satisfied with the good meal they had ... relaxed, happy, and maybe a bit less-focused then before they left on break.
Some - 15-20 percent, on average - either move in with a short stack, or make a small-yet-painful slip in their betting and the rail beckons.
This is known as the Legend of the Food Coma, where the meal's affects effect the poker decisions and the chips disappear.
Today hit beyond the high side of the average, as 19 of the 91 players who came back from dinner found the rail during Level 10. That's 23 percent of the field gone in 40 minutes.
Level - 11
Ante - 1600
Blinds - 800/1600
Entries - 70/174
