There's three starting flights for this weekend's $500,000 Guaranteed $1,650 @HPTpoker Main Event @St. LouisPokerHC, kicking off today at 2pm with Day 1A.
Players open with a 30,000 stack and play 40-minute levels on Day 1 of their starting flight. Registration and the unlimited-entry period for each flight is available until dinner break ends - when cards go back in the air for the start of Level 10.
Each Day 1 flight is scheduled to play 15 levels, wrapping up just shy of 12 hours from when it starts. Thursday and Friday's 2pm starts wrap up at around 1:45am, with Saturday's Noon-start ending play around 11:45pm.
All players with chips at the end of their respective Day 1 flight move on to Sunday's 11am Day 2 Restart, playing down to the 9-handed final table. The final table is streamed at Twitch.tv/HPTpoker Monday starting at noon.
William Byrnes held off Keith Heine heads-up here in March to capture the inaugural HPT Main Event at Hollywood Casino St. Louis, earning a career-best $148,587 payday in the 44-entry tournament.
This series started off strong with a 1,129-entry field for the opening $350 event, the final three players taking home more than $42,000 each.
