Mahfooth More Than Doubles
Wasim Mahfooth (pictured) had entered the danger zone with under 20 big blinds at the 8k/16k level. He opened to 35k from early position. Action folded around to Timothy Ebenhoeh in the big blind who sized up the remainder of Mahfooth's stack before announcing, "all in".
Ebenhoeh is the biggest stack at the table and had Mahfooth covered by a large margin. Mahfooth thought for a second before making the call and showing pocket 3s. Ebenhoeh flipped ace-ten of clubs and they were off to the races.
The board came out 8-7-6-2-7 and Mahfooth earned the full double. Ebehoeh took a hit but is still well over the average, which is just shy of 600k.
On the very next hand Mahfooth got it in again, this time against Kamiran Taymour on a king-10-5 flop. Mahfooth had his opponent covered by a small margin. Taymour held king-jack but was behind Mahfooth's king-five for two pair. The turn nor the river brought help for Taymour and he was sent to the rail in 19th place.
Players will take another 10-minute break at the conclusion of this level.
