Steele Takes Hit in a Wild One
Past HPT Main Event champion Patrick Steele came into the day with the overall chip lead at 754,000. After an up and down day, he was just above that amount a few moments ago.
Josh Gervais opened to 65k, Aaron West called, and Patrick Steele shoved for around 800k. Gervais folded but West made the call.
Steele - Ah7h
West - 10c10h
The 2h 6h 10d flop was a wild one as it gave West top set but left Steele with plenty of outs, drawing to the nut flush. The 4h on the turn is just the card Steele was looking for, catapulting him into the lead. West was drawing thin to a paired board or the case 10. And the case 10 is exactly what came on the river to give West quads and the winning hand.
Aaron West - 1.5M
Patrick Steele - 160,000
Remaining: 10/481
Level: 24
Blinds: 15k/30k
