A small group of players traded the chiplead throughout the final six levels of Day 1A in the @HPTpoker $250,000 Guaranteed $1,100 Main Event @MeadowsCasino, but it was a last-level hand that sent Bill @GutShotKridle35 to the top of the stacks at the end of play.
Kridle's 326,000 stack leads the 25 players advancing - from a starting field of 116 - on to Sunday's 11am Day 2 Restart, playing down to the 9-handed final table.
Former HPT Pittsburgh champ Mike O'Neill had a roller-coaster day, from top-of-the-stacks down to 80k, up to 150, down to 75, then soaring up to 290,000 to close out as the No. 2 stack, with Michael Iocavone's 221,000 rounding out the flight's top-three stacks.
Linda Johnson had worked her way to a top-three stack in the night's final level, but had her Aces cracked by Jacks at the very end of the night to close out at 142,000.
Among those who came out for Day 1A and are likely returning tomorrow for Day 1B still in search of the elusive-so-far Day2Bag was Greg Raymer, Craig Casino, Jan Fisher, Dan Wagner, Griffin Abel, Bobby Noel and Ricky Ali.
