The Season XII HPT Championship Series kicked off this weekend at Thunder Valley Resort in northern California with The Monolith, a $425 buyin with four starting flights and a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool.

There's a total of 909 entries for the tournament, generating a prize pool of $337,239 and a first place prize of $60,500 that includes a seat in next weekend's HPT Season Championship Main Event - a $2500 buyin with a $500,000 prize pool.
