A win in Kansas City, a runner-up finish in Vicksburg, a 7th at Blackhawk and a 12th at Reno - this is the Season XII HPT Resume for Ryan Gregor, the Player of the Year.
Gregor held off a late-season charge by Cord Garcia to claim the title and the prize of six HPT Main Event entries during Season XIII.
The Final standings were still undecided going in to today's final day of Season XII play, with both Garcia and Aaron Thomas capable of taking the title.
Thomas needed a 1st or 2nd in the $2500 Championship Event at Thunder Valley Resort in northern California to win. Thomas was out in 18th place today.
Garcia needed a top-four finish, but was knocked out in 14th, securing the title for Gregor.
I'd get a comment from him, but Gregor is on a plane back to Kansas City as I write this.
