Bruce Hugon - 1st Place - $75,571

Three days of @HPTPoker @Belterra play came down to one pivotal heads-up hand between Bruce Hugon and Scott Poling that basically decided the $1100 Main Event title.

With chip stacks almost even, Hugon flopped two pair, Poling turned two pair and all the chips went in the middle with Hugon's tournament life at risk.

Hugon rivered a flush, gained a 10-1 chiplead and two hands later he knocked Poling out to win the tournament, $75,571 and a $3,600 Season XIII Championship Package.

Poling did most of the heavy lifting early at the final table, scoring three of the first five eliminations. Hugon took over at that point and was chipleader for all but 4-5 hands for the rest of the event.

There were 346 total entries across the three starting flights in this Main Event, with 73 players advancing to Sunday's Day 2. The $3,000 prize pool was distributed across the 36 players who cashed.

This concludes the 2016 calendar year for the HPT. Join us next at Ameristar East Chicago from Jan. 12-23, 2017.
