Ted Driscoll

The final starting flight of the HPT Golden Gates $1,650 Main Event is done and Ted Driscoll bagged the chip lead with 390,000. Driscoll leads a field of 57 players heading into Day 2. This means Day 1a's chip leader Ryan Van Sanford will lead all players with 468,500 when play begins tomorrow.

Jamie Kerstetter finally broke through and made Day 2 on her final bullet. She bagged 92,500. Bryan Devonshire (238,000) and Mike Puccio (197,500) also bagged after failing to do so during previous flights.

On the final hand of the night, Puccio got a little boost to his stack when a player shoved 45,000 with ace high and Puccio won the hand with pocket jacks.

Mina Greco arrived today and managed to make Day 2 on her first bullet. She bagged 65,500.

Day 2 starts at noon and each of the players will be competing for the $248,732 first prize. Tomorrow the levels go from 40 minutes to 60 minutes and the field will play down to nine.
